The Doddridge Community Centre is a busy, welcoming resource centre providing a wide range of facilities and support to community and voluntary groups and enterprises.
Many and varied groups are based in, or use, our buildings – they meet here for a range of activities including lunch clubs, local agency workshops and drop – in’s, and conferences. We work with, and hire to, a wide variety of small and larger, well known organisations.

We are able to make referrals to the local Food Banks on behalf of those who require support. Call into the centre to speak with a member of staff who would be happy to help.
The Community Library is open Monday 9:30am to 12:30pm, Wednesday 3pm to 6pm, Friday 12 noon to 3pm and Saturday 9:30am to 12:30pm. If you would like to get involved by volunteering within the library please contact us directly.
The wardrobe is open Thursday and Saturday mornings between 10am to 12noon. Swap, donate or select new items to refresh your wardrobe and shop sustainably.
We have a variety of rooms available for hire alongside our community spaces which are free for use by the general public. We have recently become a Warm Space to assist the local community with the growing fuel costs and are providing activities and initiatives for the community to engage in.
We’re always looking for passionate and motivated people who are interested in supporting us in our mission.
The Doddridge Centre has been at the heart of the St James community for many years providing a wide range of facilities and support to community and voluntary groups and enterprises.
