Farewell to our Chairman

The new year brings with it some changes here at the Doddridge Centre, with the news that our fabulous Chair, Graham Croucher, has stepped down after 13 years as a trustee, eight of them as Chair of Trustees and who steered the charity to safety before, through and after the COVID epidemic back to much better days.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Graham for his hard work, dedication, passion and the endless hours he has given the charity. Without him, the Centre would not be the place it is today and we are eternally grateful for the support he has given to the staff, trustees and volunteers over the years.

This won’t be goodbye though, as Graham will continue to volunteer for us and support our events.

Graham is being succeeded as chair by Shankar Meembat. Shankar has worked closely with Graham on the board for many years and will pick up where Graham left off ensuring that the Doddridge Centre continues to grow and develop for the community.

Graham leaves with the grateful thanks of the Board, Staff and volunteers as he steps down to spend more time on his other voluntary projects and his family.

Graham said; "It has been the honour of a lifetime serving my community and this wonderful charity since 2013. I am very proud to have helped create such a wonderful team of staff, volunteers and Trustees who all work so hard for the charity and the wider community. It's been absolutely fantastic helping this charity thrive again and I am indebted to the staff for working so well with me to achieve this. I leave with the centre in good hands and with a bright future ahead of it. Thank you all for making this journey bearable when it was very tough, and incredibly enjoyable on our many good days, I am feeling the love that only Doddridge Centre can give."
