Available 8.00am – 9.30pm Monday to Friday, weekends by arrangement, the Jeffery Room is a large room which lends itself equally to business meetings, community gatherings, presentations or training when smaller groups are present.

There is a large screen TV for presentations as well as a whiteboard/flipchart available in this room.

Available 8.00am – 9.30pm Monday to Friday, weekends by arrangement the Tomalin Room is a spacious room which lends itself equally to business meetings, community gatherings, presentations or training. Given the ambience in this room, it lends itself very well for worship or wellbeing activities.

There is a large screen TV for presentations as well as a whiteboard/flipchart available in this room.

Please note we do not allow parties in this room.

We also have two rooms that are set aside for training activities though they can be used for meetings or community craft/reading groups too.

Notice to all Charities, Non – Profits, Community Groups and Ethical Business

We have a limited number of offices/rooms that often become available to groups/individuals for occupation on a long or short term basis (subject to terms and conditions).

Whether its for co-working, hot desking or a quiet place to work away from the hustle and bustle of home, maybe its a one-to-one room for interviews or counselling, we probably have something that may suit your requirements.

They can be hired on a per session basis, such as per hour, day/half day basis, or longer by special agreement.

Remember, all of our income gets re-invested in the charity to support other groups and the local communties. We have no shareholders, so every penny goes to good causes.

Available 8.30am – 10.00pm Monday to Friday, weekends 8.30am -11.00pm or by special arrangement, this hall is a large room which lends itself equally to business meetings, community gatherings, presentations or training.

St James CC is conveniently located in the heart of St James and its local facilities, with all major bus routes located outside the centre. Parking is limited at the centre itself with only five dedicated spaces but parking is available in nearby Abbey Street, Stenson Street or at our main site at Doddridge Centre, all of which are literally a one minute walk along the road.

Private parties are accepted but only by special arrangement and with deposits to cover potential damages and loss.

Additional Information

Room hire on a Saturday or Sunday is available, but is by arrangement only.

We have the following facilities available:

  • 30-space car park including four Blue Badge parking spaces
  • Located with all major bus routes right outside the building
  • Five minutes walk from the railway station with fast connections to London, Birmimgham and the North
  • Two accessible toilets, including one with baby changing facilities
  • Induction loop, projector screen and flip chart in all conference rooms and included in room hire charge
  • Large print documents can be made available
  • Catering services – teas and coffees, light and buffet lunches can be pre-ordered by arrangement
  • Equipment available for a £10 hire charge per item: TV with DVD player, laptop, projector
  • Choice of room setup – boardroom, theatre, U shape and informal styles or according to your requirements.

If required and booked in advance, we can provide catering for your event., from tea, coffee and buscuits to a buffet style lunch.  We will set out your refreshments table with tea, coffee and whatever has been ordered. Supplies will be replenished and clean crockery provided as required. Refreshments can include herbal/fruit tea, decaffeinated coffee and water. Smaller numbers can be catered for too.

Should your catering needs require specific items, just ask us,  we will do our best to accommodate all of your needs. If you have any special dietary requirements, please let us know so we can plan with our caterer.

We are here to help you enjoy your visit.

We particularly welcome enquiries from community, charity and non-profit organisations for whom we have special rates, and (depending on qualifying criteria) we can sometimes provide free accommodation to small or fledgling community groups, all you need to do is ask!

  • Even if the chosen room is showing as booked, ask us anyway as last minute cancellations can occur or we may be able to provide a suitable alternative
